Office of the President of Ukraine’s Advisor Mikhail Podolyak has commented on the crash of the kamikaze drone “Shahed” on Romanian territory, which was launched by Russian occupiers towards our country on the night of July 25.
In an exclusive interview with National Bank News, Podolyak expressed his concerns over the latest aggressive actions by Russia and emphasized the need for international community to take a strong stance against such provocations.
The incident, which resulted in fragments of the “Shahed” drone falling on Romanian soil, has raised alarms across Ukraine and its neighboring countries. Podolyak described it as a “brazen act of aggression” by the Russian forces, who continue to violate international laws and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He further stated that the drone was a clear violation of the Minsk agreements, which were aimed at bringing peace and stability to the region. The use of such unmanned aerial vehicles for hostile purposes is a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement and poses a threat to the safety and security of the region.
Podolyak also highlighted the fact that this was not the first incident of Russian aggression towards Ukraine. In recent years, we have witnessed numerous violations of our sovereignty, including the illegal annexation of Crimea and ongoing military aggression in the Donbas region. He called upon the international community to take a united and firm stance against such actions and hold Russia accountable for its actions.
The Advisor also expressed his gratitude to the Romanian authorities for their prompt response and handling of the situation. He emphasized the importance of cooperation and solidarity among neighboring countries in the face of Russian aggression.
The Office of the President of Ukraine has released a statement condemning the incident and holding Russia responsible for its actions. The statement also called for an urgent meeting with international partners to discuss the situation and take necessary measures to prevent further escalations.
The crash of the “Shahed” drone has once again highlighted the need for a strong and united response to Russian aggression. It is imperative for the international community to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and send a clear message to Russia that such actions will not be tolerated.
In conclusion, Podolyak reiterated Ukraine’s commitment to peace and stability in the region and called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. He urged the international community to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The incident has once again reminded us of the importance of staying vigilant and united in the face of external threats.
