The head of the press center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk, revealed the tactics used by Russian invaders during their attacks with kamikaze drones “Shahed” in our country, in order to complicate the work of air defense.
According to Humenyuk, the use of kamikaze drones by the Russian forces has become a major threat to the security of Ukraine. These drones are equipped with explosives and are programmed to crash into their targets, causing significant damage. The drones are also difficult to detect and intercept, making them a preferred weapon for the Russian forces.
Humenyuk explained that the Russian forces have been using a tactic of maneuvering the drones in order to evade the air defense systems of Ukraine. This involves flying the drones at low altitudes and using sudden changes in direction and speed to make it difficult for the air defense systems to track and intercept them. This tactic has proven to be effective in several attacks, causing damage to military and civilian targets.
The use of kamikaze drones in warfare is not a new concept, but the Russian forces have taken it to a new level by using advanced technology and tactics. The “Shahed” drones are equipped with GPS and can be controlled remotely, making them even more dangerous. The Russian forces have also been using multiple drones in coordinated attacks, making it even harder for the air defense systems to defend against them.
Humenyuk emphasized that the Ukrainian forces are constantly adapting and improving their air defense strategies to counter these tactics. They are also working closely with international partners to acquire advanced air defense systems and technology to better defend against the kamikaze drones.
The use of kamikaze drones by the Russian forces is not only a threat to Ukraine, but also to the entire region. These drones have the potential to cause significant damage and casualties, and their use in warfare is a violation of international laws.
Despite the challenges posed by the Russian tactics, Humenyuk remains confident in the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense forces. She stated that the Ukrainian forces are well-trained and equipped to defend against any type of attack, and they will continue to do so to protect the sovereignty and security of the country.
In conclusion, the tactics used by the Russian forces in their attacks with kamikaze drones “Shahed” are a cause for concern for Ukraine and the international community. However, the Ukrainian forces are determined to defend against these threats and are constantly adapting and improving their strategies. With the support of their international partners, they will continue to protect their country and its people from any form of aggression.
